Sourcing funding for any type of requirement be it for working capital, MBO, acquisition or a re-finance transaction, usually involves raising finance against the various assets being acquired as part of the purchase or which are already on balance sheet, typically the fixed assets, property, debtors and stock with Director’s contribution, deferred consideration and possibly a cash flow loan or similar making up the difference. Banks will often package a deal in a way that reflects the individual value of these assets whilst a new breed of asset based lenders is now well established and will help maximise the funding that can be leveraged from each or all asset classes.
